Meet Chris Brown
Coastal Handmade Co. was founded by retired firefighter Chris Brown. As founder of Coastal Handmade Co. Chris Brown has had the opportunity to build and make wooden works of art his entire life from framing a house or framing a picture - the pride of knowing something is well built, pleasing to the eye, and smooth to the touch has always been important to him.
As life has taken him from the renowned small artist community of Laguna Beach in the 1960's to places far across the globe - finding locally made hand-crafted products has been a passion of mine. In this day and age of the high-speed digital world of cyber shopping and international markets, finding a locally quality handmade product is becoming increasingly difficult.
It's with this realization and love for good craftsmanship that Coastal Handmade Co. was founded. Quality made wooden furnishings and accessories of art which are both beautiful to the beholder, functional to the user, and locally available in the neighborhood they were created in.
